Country Boy

Growing up out in sticks with no other kids around to play with you learn real quick how to stay entertained. I remember at very young age, me and one of my dad's birddogs would take off through the woods and be gone for hours. Go down to the creek and find all sorts of goodies. Always would come home with a pocket full of arrowheads, Mississippi woods just full of good stuff like that.

Next time we'll talk about learning to play baseball with adults.

Mississippi boy

I was born in Yazoo City Mississippi in late 1949. Please don't laugh, Yazoo City is a huge town, we lived in Tinsley. Tinsley is a small oil field stop in the road with a population of less than 50 people, this includes all the people that live in the hills within 5 miles or so. My dad was a clerk for Hassie Hunt Oil Company. We lived in a company house on the property where his office was. Mom was a stay at home housewife, I guess not many women worked out of the home back in those days.

Stay tuned for more Mississippi life.

I'm a blogger now

My friend just made me a blogger and I don't even know yet what a blogger does for a living. I will tell all about myself at a later date, but for now I want everyone to know I own a furniture consignment store and sell a small amount of sports cards. I did have a sports card shop for 15 years. I worked in the construction field long ago but loved sports so much I ended up in that racket.

Please stop back by someday and see I figure out this blogging stuff.
